The Meaning Of Christmas

by Mary Ann Baselice

He was born in a manger on a cold winter's night,
No dasher or dancer not a reindeer in sight.
A gift to mankind from the Father above,
No stockings were hung by any chimney's with love.
A plan for salvation was the Father's desire,
there were no chestnuts \roasting on an open fire.
A hope for lost sinner's was born long ago,
No one was dreaming of a white Christmas with snow.
Christmas is Jesus' birthday still to me,
And not a partridge living in a tree.
