The Priest
There is a priest who lives up on a hill and down below is a valley where there lies a city which is all inclosed by water (an island). One day there is a massive flood and helicopters are needed to rescue the people.
One of the helicopters flies over to the priest telling the priest that they will save him from the flood. The priest responds, "No, No, No, I believe in God, God will save me." The helicopter leaves.
The water rises to the priest first level of the house and the priest is hanging out of the window on the second level. The helicopter comes back again and tells the priest that they will save him. The priest responds "No, No, No, I believe in God, God will save me."
The helicopter leaves and the water rises. The priest is standing in the roof and the water is up to his ankles. The helicopter comes back again and throws down a rope and they scream, "Come on. We will save you!" The priest responds "No, No, No, I believe in God, God will save me," and the helicopter leaves.
The water rises and the priest dies. The priest then goes to Heaven where he gets to ask God one question. The priest says, "How can you let me die, I believed in you and I had faith in you, how could you let me die?" God replies, "I don't understand, I mean, I sent the helicopters three times for you."
